This crescent shaped volcanic islet rises from the sea just off Kihei, and the sheltered water inside its rim is known for some of the clearest visibility in all of Hawaii. On this 3 hour Maui turtle snorkeling tour you will explore Molokini and then head to Turtle Town, giving you two of the island's most beloved snorkel spots in a single trip.
At Molokini Crater you float above a living wall of coral that shelters an incredible variety of marine life. Snorkelers here regularly spot hundreds of species of tropical fish, from flashing parrotfish to shy moray eels, drifting over dozens of kinds of hard coral. The water is calm, clear, and bursting with color, which makes it a favorite for first timers and seasoned snorkelers alike.
Then it is on to Turtle Town, a stretch of reef along the Maui coast named for the Hawaiian green sea turtles, or honu, that gather there to feed and rest. Floating quietly above these gentle, ancient animals is the highlight of the day for many guests. Along the way you may also share the water with reef triggerfish, butterflyfish, octopus, and, if you are lucky, a rare Hawaiian monk seal.
Get to know the honu you may swim with at Turtle Town before you head out on the water.
This is a typical schedule. Exact timing shifts with ocean and weather conditions.

Green sea turtles are seen on the vast majority of trips to Turtle Town, a reef where the honu gather to feed and rest. They are wild animals, so sightings can never be fully guaranteed, but your chances of swimming near one are excellent.
