Check Availability →The Na Pali Coast is the kind of place people fly across an ocean to see. Sea cliffs rise nearly 4,000 feet straight out of the water, waterfalls thread down the folds in the rock, and hidden beaches sit tucked between ridges that no road will ever reach. The only way to really meet this coast is from the water, and that is exactly where this afternoon tour takes you.
You travel aboard a custom super raft built for this coastline. It has real power and quick handling, so the captain can nose into places bigger boats simply cannot go, and every seat faces forward with wide open views instead of a wall or a window. There is comfortable seating, an onboard restroom, and a dry bag for your phone and wallet, so you can settle in and just watch the coast unfold.
The heart of the trip is a full hour in the water. Once the raft reaches the snorkel site, the crew hands out gear and you drop in above a reef busy with tropical fish, where Hawaiian green sea turtles often glide past on their way between feeding and resting spots. It is the part of the day most guests talk about afterward, and it is the reason we send turtle lovers on this particular trip.
A quick introduction to the honu you may share the water with at the Na Pali snorkel stop.
Afternoon light is the photographer's secret on this coast. As the day moves on, the sun swings around to face the cliffs head on, and all that volcanic rock warms from flat gray into deep gold and red. The same ridges that look severe at midday turn soft and layered, and the 17 miles of white sand along the return leg pick up the same glow. If you want the version of the Na Pali Coast you have seen in photographs, this is the departure that delivers it.
There is a practical upside too. A 1:30 PM departure means no early alarm, no rushing breakfast, and a free morning to spend somewhere else on the island. You get the coast, the snorkel stop, and the golden hour cruise, and you are still back at the harbor before dark.
The full trip runs about 4.5 hours. Exact timing and stops shift with ocean and weather conditions.

Hawaiian green sea turtles are a common sight at the snorkel stop, along with plenty of tropical fish. Turtles are wild animals, so no tour can promise them, but the honu feed and rest in these waters and guests see them often.
The tour runs about 4.5 hours from departure to return. That includes roughly 45 minutes cruising the west side of Kauai, about an hour and a half exploring the Na Pali Coast, and a full hour in the water at the snorkel stop.

Wear comfortable clothes with your swimsuit underneath, and bring a light jacket for the ride. Most guests go barefoot on the boat, so wear footwear you can slip off easily at the harbor. Reef safe sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are smart additions.
Guests must be at least 6 years old. This is an active raft tour, so it is not suitable for guests with limited mobility, back or neck issues, recent surgeries, serious health conditions, or for pregnant women. You should be able to climb stairs and walk about 200 yards to the boat unassisted.
If ocean conditions are unsafe, the crew will contact you to reschedule your tour or provide a refund. Entering sea caves, snorkeling, and wildlife sightings all depend on conditions on the day of your trip.
